Yahoo Sucks asked: Immigration has obviously become absorbed into the polarized political battle between the Left and Right.
Politics aside…
-What are the benefits of immigration?
-What problems does immigration pose for the United States?
-What kinds of lives do illegal immigrants live in this country?

The answers for politics usually lack content on this website, with one really good answer for each question. I was just wondering, are my political questions, or the answers I have read to others, being answered by the preteens? I just read answers to “What is the average age on this website?” and many contended that they thought it was 12. I am 17, but I plan to be a public policy major so when I am curious about something politically I like people with slightly more education than a 9th grader to answer my questions. Maybe just tell me how old you are, or tell me what you think the average age is for the people that answer questions in Politics & Government.

Adam asked: I am enjoying myself watching some stupid TV show and all of a sudden, hear “Vote for Obama” in mid sentence. I watch shows other than the news to get away from politics, then MTV decides to bring up politics.
It is purely ridiculous.

I’ve noticed that the teenage population gets “turned off” (at least most of them do) by politics. What are some creative ways to get involved in this upcoming election ‘08?

I am doing a paper on how media influences politics through television and I was wondering what are some ways that audiences are manipulated. If you have any websites or online articles, please list them, I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys.
